Commentary

A ribbon-type tweeter unit that realizes ultra-high frequency reproduction.

Since the vibrating part itself is the driving part of the ribbon speaker, a very light vibration form can be constructed.
The PT-R7A uses an ultra-lightweight diaphragm with a mass of 0.009g. By making the mass of the diaphragm itself equal to the mass of the air that the diaphragm moves, the transient characteristics are enhanced with good efficiency without waste.
As a result, flat playback is possible up to 120 kHz.

The diaphragm has a rigid ribbon made by molding 9 micron ultra-thin aluminum foil into a continuous hexagonal pyramid, and by molding it into a shape that does not become a straight line when cut vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, it has a strong structure that does not worry about bending.
As a result, the piston motor cortex range of the ribbon is expanded, and excellent power linearity is secured from minute input to large input.

The magnet uses Alnico 7 with a magnetic flux density of 7,400 Gauss to ensure high density and uniform magnetic flux distribution, greatly improving transient characteristics, and realizing high efficiency at the same time.

A low-inductance power supply system has been adopted that greatly reduces the inductance up to the ultra-high frequency range.
This reduces the generation of slight inductance in the feed section and improves the high-frequency energy characteristics.

The matching transformer employs a multi-layer sandwich winding of copper foil with a broadband, low-loss design, and a permalloy core with linear initial permeability characteristics.

Comes with a stand base that can be set directly in the cabinet.
