Commentary

This product is a kit of PIM-16A, a 16 cm full-range speaker with a mechanical 2-way system.

The parts are identical to those of the PIM-16A.

It is a mechanical 2-way system, and the cone paper for the tweeter is connected to the center of the cone for the woofer by the corrugation edge. Of the cone for the woofer, there is a window on the back side of the cone for the tweeter. This acts as a mechanical filter. Both the tweeter and the woofer vibrate simultaneously at low sound, but only the tweeter is driven by the filter at high sound.
This realizes 2-way drive with one voice coil.

Repair parts were sold separately as a set of voice coil, cone paper, center cap, damper, gasket, adhesive, damping agent and tube adapter.
