Commentary
F-series 30cm2-way coaxial speakers announced after the PAX-20F and PAX-25F.
Both woofer and tweeter have a coaxial structure with a completely independent magnetic circuit and voice coil.
A 30 cm cone type woofer is used for the low range.
A Cross Edge cone has been adopted for the cone part. Cloth is used for the edge part of the cone and a special damping agent is applied to lower the reproduction limit of the low sound range.
The voice coil is made of lightweight aluminum wire and has a wide winding width to minimize non-linear distortion. This ensures that the voice coil receives a constant driving force and reduces distortion.
For the damper, I am going to use the one with large and loose corrugation.
A horn type tweeter is used for the high range.
A diaphragm made of super-heated polyester resin is used for the vibration system.
The horn section uses an aluminum die-cast rectangular opening extrusion horn, which is installed in a vertical position to increase horizontal directivity. The horn opening is offset from the axis of the woofer cone to reduce distortion caused by interference.
Since the high-frequency attenuation characteristic of the woofer is sharp, only a 12dB/oct. network is inserted into the tweeter side.
Light alloy casting is used for the exterior.
