Pioneer PAX-20F
¥ 5,400 (around the late 1960 s?)
Commentary
A 20 cm composite 2-way speaker unit developed as a high-end coaxial type.
Up until then, Pioneer had released the PAX-20A/E using a cone-type tweeter and the PAX-20G using a reflex horn tweeter, but the PAX-20F was developed for users seeking higher performance.
A cone type woofer is used for the low range.
The edge uses a Cross Edge coated with a special dump material.
A rectangular horn type tweeter with improved directivity and sound quality is combined for the high range.
The horn is an aluminum die-cast horn with an equalizer.
Also, the horn opening is offset from the axis of the woofer cone to prevent interference distortion.
