Commentary
An AM/FM stereo tuner that has thoroughly refined high-purity reception by actively clarifying problems that lead to interference, noise and interference.
The FM front-end section is composed of single-double tuning by four variable capacitor and the RF amplifier section is composed of MOS FET to obtain sound quality with good SN ratio. The new air-core coil with low high-frequency loss is used to obtain high selectivity and stability without lowering sensitivity. In addition, intermodulation interference is eliminated by setting the bias to the optimum position.
Wide/Narrow switching is installed in the AM tuner section.
It employs an AM dedicated IC with excellent stability, and is designed with a series configuration of a wide-band filter for the Wide and a narrow-band filter for the Narrow.
The signal meter is also linked to the Wide/Narrow selectivity characteristics. Even when Wide is used with an emphasis on sound quality, it is possible to make a more accurate selection by first selecting Narrow, which has a higher selectivity, and then switching to Wide again.
It uses a touch sensor and servo lock system that automatically locks the frequency when you turn the tuning knob and release the knob when the desired station is caught.
As a result, once tuned, there will be no tuning deviation even if there are changes in temperature or humidity. In addition, it has a strong pull-in capability from the desired broadcasting station to a range of ± 400 kHz and maintains stable reception.
In addition, there is a built-in circuit that catches the same broadcasting station and relocks it when the switch is turned on again even if the power is turned off once.
The detector employs a new quadrature detector in which a microinductor and a detector transformer are housed in the same case. In addition, the microinductor section uses a split-wound air-core coil to reduce the distributed capacitance, greatly improving the input-to-strain characteristics and temperature characteristics.
With a built-in buzz muting circuit, buzz noise generated by TV signals can be cut.
Equipped with Pioneer's original pilot signal auto-cancel circuit, it automatically follows and cancels the 19 khz pilot signal even if the level changes.
There was a wood cabinet sold separately.
