Commentary
Based on the FM part of the F-8800X, this FM stereo tuner has been polished with performance and functions suitable for FM dedicated machines.
The front-end section uses a four link varicon with a single-double tune configuration and the RF amplifier uses a MOS FET to obtain high sensitivity.
In addition, an air-core coil with less high-frequency loss is used for the coil to improve selectivity and stability.
Three stages of linear phase two element ceramic filters are used in the IF section to improve the delay characteristics and simultaneously improve the contradictory characteristics of selectivity characteristics and distortion factor characteristics.
In addition, the detector employs a new quadrature detector in which the microinductor and the detector transformer are housed in the same case for low noise and low distortion.
Equipped with a touch sensor servo lock system, the frequency is automatically locked when the tuning knob is turned and the hand is released when the pointer catches the desired receiving station.
In addition, it has a strong pull-in capability up to ± 400 kHz from the frequency of the desired broadcasting station, making it possible to maintain a stable reception condition. In addition, it has a built-in re-lock circuit that correctly detects the same broadcasting station when the switch is turned on again after the power is turned off.
Built-in Rec level check delivers a 330 Hz signal at 50% FM modulation level, so your tape deck can be adjusted to the right level for recording.
It is equipped with multipath output, and the correct antenna direction can be set.
It has a built-in pilot signal auto-cancel circuit that automatically follows and cancels the 19 khz pilot signal even if the level changes.
In order to cope with buzz noise generated by signals such as TV, a dedicated buzz muting circuit is mounted.
Equipped with an MPX noise filter.
There was a wood cabinet sold separately.
