An FM stereo tuner using a touch sensor servo lock system.
The touch sensor servo lock system locks the frequency at the tuning point by turning the tuning knob and releasing the knob when the pointer reaches the desired broadcasting station. Once tuned, there is no tuning shift even if temperature or humidity changes.
In addition, it has a strong pull-in capability up to ± 400 kHz from the frequency of the desired broadcasting station, so that a stable reception condition can be maintained at all times. In addition, even if the power is turned off once, if the switch is turned on again, there is a built-in re-lock circuit that catches the same broadcasting station correctly, so there is no worry about the synchronization shift even when recording messages.
It is equipped with a pilot signal auto cancel circuit originally developed by Pioneer.
This circuit cancels only the pilot signal without using a 19 kHz-cut low-pass filter. This circuit does not reduce the high-pass band due to the filter effect, and the frequency characteristic is widened.
This circuit also automatically follows and cancels any changes in the pilot signal level of the broadcasting station.
The IF section uses three stages of a two element linear phase ceramic filter with greatly improved delay characteristics. By adopting this element, the conventional problem of conflicting characteristics of selectivity characteristics and distortion factor characteristics is simultaneously improved.
PA-3001A (IF part), PA-1001A (MPX part) and PA-1002A (output part) are used to further improve the performance of Pioneer's high-integration ICs.
The front-end section consists of three dual-gate MOS FETs and a FM5 series varicon.
It has a built-in FM recording level check and sends out a 330 Hz signal at FM50% modulation level.
It is recommended to set the meter pointer near -2 to 0 dB for a cassette deck and near 0 to + 2 dB for an open reel deck.
Equipped with an output volume.
Equipped with a muting switch. When muting is OFF, the servo lock is also OFF.
Multi-path output terminal is mounted.
