Commentary
This UK series speaker system was developed by John Bamford who was an audio commentator in the UK and joined Pioneer High Fidelity Ltd.
The design is based on the idea of keeping the signal path as short and simple as possible.
For the lower range, 14 cm cone type woofer is mounted which uses thick and tough pulp with carefully selected Northern European conifer in cone paper.
This unit is directly connected without using a network by suppressing the generation of high-frequency peaks and obtaining smooth high-frequency attenuation characteristics.
A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The soft dome shape uses a catenary curve that provides high rigidity.
The enclosure is a four sided round structure with 20 mm baffle plates and 19 mm shell plates.
Uses a large gold plated input terminal.
