Commentary
A speaker system developed as a setting-free model that can be used as part of interior decoration.
The unit employs a 14 cm coaxial type unit using Pioneer's original wave surface control technology.
The 14 cm woofer uses ALCC (Alginic Acid Composite Cone).
In order to increase the binding force of high rigidity material and pulp, alginic acid fiber extracted from seaweed and made into filament fiber is mixed. This fiber works as a binder to increase the binding force.
In addition, a 2 cm dome type tweeter is adopted for the high-frequency part, and the magnetic circuit is miniaturized by the adoption of neodymium magnet. In addition, the time axis is controlled by wave surface control technology, and the directivity is controlled by a new-shaped W. F. director composed of special elastic material with excellent vibration damping characteristics.
In this coaxial type unit, the magnetic circuit from the woofer to the tweeter is floated with damping material in order to eliminate the mechanical intermodulation distortion caused by the vibration of the woofer affecting the vibration of the tweeter, and the electromagnetic intermodulation distortion caused by the magnetic flux from the voice coil of the woofer affecting the magnetic flux of the tweeter. This reduces the mutual interference.
The enclosure is a resin enclosure that takes advantage of the cubic surface and can be freely laid out horizontally or vertically.
Mounting screws are included for hanging on the wall or ceiling.
