A new wave front control technology has been introduced into the vertical twin, and this speaker system aims at better sound field reproducibility and clearer sound image localization.

In order to make the most of the advantages of vertical twin speakers, we have scientifically clarified how the wave front of sound reaches the ears of listeners, and have introduced a new wave front control technology.
The four points are "adjusting the energy time response of the woofer and the tweeter on the time axis," "controlling the directivity of the woofer and the tweeter," "matching the electrical phase of the network, etc.," and "controlling the wavefront diffraction by the shape of the baffle." These controls enable the transmission of a beautiful sound wave surface that spreads the sound wave uniformly.

For the lower range, two 20 cm cone type woofer using newly developed cone made by mixing aramid fiber with pulp is used.
The newly designed Alnico magnetic circuit employs a short ring to further reduce distortion and an edge-wise voice coil to improve driving force.
The frame is made of highly rigid aluminum die cast and uses a shield frame gasket to prevent unwanted vibrations.

A 3 cm dome type tweeter with a W. F. (wave front) director is used for the high range.
The position of the vibration plate of the tweeter is controlled so that the rising peaks coincide with each other, and the directivity is also controlled by the shape of the horn of the director. By this, the wave front of the sound at the listening position of the listener is combined, and reproducibility of the sound field and sound image localization are improved.
The director is made of a special elastic material with little noise and is firmly fixed to the aluminum die-cast flange.
Ceramic graphite with a carbon purity of 99.99% is used for the diaphragm, and high-quality alnico magnet with high magnetic flux density is used for the magnetic circuit.

Each unit has a full midship mount. The woofer is fixed to an inner baffle inside the enclosure, and the tweeter is fixed firmly from the back through a spacer.
As a result, unnecessary vibration of the baffle is suppressed, and natural reproduction sound with less distortion is obtained.

The network employs a distributed arrangement of units to prevent each unit from interfering with each other.

The upper baffle is largely rounded to control the wavefront diffraction.
In addition, it is designed to be flattened with the lower baffle when the secondary RUNNET is installed, and is tuned to obtain excellent sound quality when installed.
The enclosure is finished with a Lady-Dark Brown floral finish.

A large terminal capable of bi-wiring connection is adopted.
