Pioneer S-170

Commentary
A speaker system that uses Pioneer's original ribbon tweeter and pursues sound image realism.
A 26 cm cone type unit is used for the low range.
Carbon graphite is used for the diaphragm in the same way as the high-frequency diaphragm to achieve smooth frequency characteristics.
In addition, a ferrite magnet with an outer diameter of 134 mm and a urethane wool edge with a large internal loss are used to enhance the medium and low sound range, which is the base of reproduced sound.
A 6.6 cm cone-shaped unit is used for the high range.
Carbon graphite is used for the diaphragm.
A ribbon-type unit with an aluminum ribbon diaphragm is used for the ultra-high range.
Because of the direct drive structure (full drive system) in which the driving force works uniformly over the entire surface, the generation of abnormal resonance and strain is completely eliminated.
The network has a low-loss, high-input-resistant design, and the choke coil is placed in a perfectly orthogonal configuration to minimize crosstalk.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system and has a symmetrical design with good sound image localization.
