Commentary
This 2-way speaker system uses two low-frequency units to improve low-frequency playback.
Two 20 cm cone type units are used for the low range.
Corn paper is formed by the dry press method. The dry press method is a method in which corn paper is dried once, soaked in an appropriate amount of water, and then heat-pressed. The core is strong, delicate, and soft.
A roll-type Cross Edge with good linearity is used for the edge, and a flat surface is provided on the inner part of the roll to maintain appropriate compliance, and excellent characteristics are realized from the upper limit of the piston motion range to the high-frequency reproduction limit.
By connecting two of these units in parallel, we have succeeded in providing an effective vibration area equivalent to a 30 cm aperture.
A 6.6 cm cone type unit with a diaphragm made of highly flexible polyester film coated with carbon is used for the high frequency range.
Ultra-fine glass wool is inserted between the diaphragm and the frame to apply direct braking to the diaphragm, suppressing low-frequency resonance and abnormal resonance, and realizing low distortion rate and wide bandwidth.
In addition, there is a back chamber in the rear part of the frame so that the low range can be extended without difficulty, the crossover frequency is set low, and the connection with the woofer is smooth.
The network consists of a ferrite core with high permeability, a coil with thick copper wires wound around it, and a Mylar film capacitor for a capacitor connected in series. These measures are taken to obtain excellent transient characteristics.
The enclosure has a solid particle board with a bright moss veneer and an oil finish.
Six surfaces including baffle plate and back plate are completely fixed with adhesive, and in addition, a rail is provided between baffle plate and back plate.
In addition, it is structured so that the distance between the port of the opening and the sound absorbing material is constant, so that it can perform stable bass reflex operation.
