Commentary

A three way speaker system with a horn type unit.

A 38 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses newly developed corn paper suitable for the bass reflex type. In addition, by applying a special treatment to the corn, excellent transient characteristics are obtained. The edge is coated with a damping agent that is stable against changes in temperature and humidity. Combined with the double spider system, this unit achieves high compliance and improved linearity.
The voice coil uses a long type with edgewise winding of copper ribbon wire of aluminum bobbin. The magnetic circuit uses a ferrite magnet of 160 mm φ. In addition, by installing a pure copper cap, non-linear strain and magnetic strain generated from the center pole are suppressed.

It has a 20 cm cone type mid-range in the middle and low range.
This unit features a special treatment on the surface of cone paper, a center pole with a pure copper cap, a 120 mm φ ferrite magnet, and a long voice coil wound on an aluminum bobbin, making it suitable for use in low-frequency applications.
4800 cm at the rear of the unit.³The fully enclosed back chamber provides sound absorption and eliminates sound interference with the woofer.

A horn-type unit combining PD-50 and PH-50, which were sold separately, is installed in the middle and high area.
The PD-50 uses a 20 μ m ultra-hard titanium foil diaphragm. It uses a free edge method with a corrugated edge of polyester film with high linearity. It also uses an edge-wise voice coil with good utilization efficiency of the gap and a 100 mm φ ferrite magnet to increase efficiency. In addition, reflection from the edge surface of the diaphragm is absorbed using high-density sound absorbing felt to flatten the frequency characteristics and improve sound quality.
The horn unit PH-50 is a sectoral horn with a cutoff frequency of 500 Hz. Resonance is suppressed by making it an aluminum horn with sufficient wall thickness.

The enclosure uses a bass reflex system, and a sound-absorbing partition in the center serves as a high-cut filter for the woofer and suppresses the generation of standing waves.
