Commentary

3-way speaker system.

The woofer uses a 25 cm diameter cone unit.
A ferrite magnet of 120 φ mm is used for the magnetic circuit, and the newly designed cone paper utilizes various know-how in pulp materials and manufacturing methods so that a smooth response can be obtained for a wide band. It is lightweight, has high rigidity, and has moderate internal loss.
A mass balancer is used for the voice coil bobbin to reduce distortion, a pure copper cap is attached to the pole piece of the magnetic circuit to reduce distortion, and an aluminum die-cast frame is used.

The mid-range uses a 65 mm large diameter dome unit.
The diaphragm is made of cone paper mixed with carbon fiber coated with special damping agent to provide high strength and moderate internal loss.
In addition to the tangential edge which is excellent in center retention even at large amplitude, the large magnet of the same size as the woofer is adopted, so not only high sensitivity but also sufficient magnetic braking is applied.
The frame is made of aluminum die-cast like the woofer.
In addition, a direct radiator type without an equalizer was adopted in order to eliminate the coloring of the sound that is likely to be caused by the equalizer in the case of the dome type. The tangential edge is covered with a flange to provide an equalizing effect. Edge equalization gives a flat response even without the equalizer on the front of the diaphragm.
To cope with back pressure inside the dome, a back chamber is installed at the rear of the unit and the inside is filled with special sound absorbing material.

The tweeter is finished with a dome shape of 0.025 mm thick and 25 mm diameter titanium material, and is used as a diaphragm.
In order to demonstrate the physical properties of this diaphragm, we have adopted tangential edges and reduced the weight of the voice coil by using copper-clad aluminum wire to expand the piston area and expand the high-frequency reproduction limit.
As in the mid-range, this tweeter also uses a direct radiator without an equalizer, and has a flat response with edge equalization covered by aluminum die-cast flanges.

The enclosure is made of softwood particle board, and while measuring resonance modes in detail, the most effective reinforcement is applied to suppress harmful resonance.
In addition, sound absorbing material is effectively arranged inside to prevent standing waves while utilizing the internal volume.

A high-permeability ferrite core choke and an air-core coil with less magnetostriction are used for the network depending on the application, and a low-loss MF type capacitor is used for the capacitor.
