XL-A800
Commentary

A record player equipped with a full auto mechanism with an auto size selector.

Equipped with an autosize selector that automatically detects the record size.
The XL-A800 uses an optical system. There are three detection holes on the turntable, and a phototransistor is placed under the holes to determine the presence or absence of a record and the size of the record by the emitted light. This prevents the arm from being led in even if the start button is pressed accidentally when there is no record on the turntable, and there is no fear of damaging the needle.
In addition, it uses an optical quick repeat mechanism for smooth and quick repeated performance.

The auto-return detection mechanism is an optical type that detects and compares the amount of movement of the sound groove with one rotation of the record using cds.
In addition, arm operation is driven by a dedicated DC motor.

It is designed to give priority to manual operation. It adopts a quick start mechanism in which the turntable starts rotating when the arm is moved on the record board with the finger tip, and a quick stop mechanism in which the turntable stops rotating when it is returned to the arm rest.

A newly developed quartz PLL Hall motor is used as the drive motor.
The speed detection mechanism of the XL-A800 is a highly accurate system that magnetizes 200 poles at equal intervals on the lower surface of the rotor magnet, generates an AC signal by a print pattern coil installed facing the rotor magnet, and integrates this signal over the whole circumference.
In addition, we have adopted a brushless DC servo Hall motor that uses a Hall element for changing the magnetic pole of the motor to suppress uneven rotation.

The tone arm uses a mass concentration system in which the main weight is placed close to the rotating shaft to reduce the moment of inertia of the arm and achieve high trackability. In addition, it is equipped with a gimbal support bearing.

Adopts a magnesium die-cast head shell.

We have adopted a MM type cartridge using a beryllium evaporated cantilever.

An aluminum die-cast cabinet with coaxial suspension (coaxial suspension system) has been adopted for the cabinet to improve the howling resistance.

Equipped with a butyl rubber turntable seat.

Front operation system is adopted and arm operation (auto lead-in, auto cut, Oatley peat) can be performed while the acrylic cover is closed.
