Commentary
A record player using a quartz PLL DC servo motor.
The drive motor uses a quartz PLL brushless DC servo Hall motor that applies the high precision of the crystal oscillator.
In addition, the motor speed detection mechanism adopts an all-round integration method, and 200 poles are magnetized at equal intervals over the entire circumference of the lower surface of the rotor magnet. An AC signal is generated by a print pattern coil attached to the opposite side, and this signal is integrated over the entire circumference to obtain high reliability.
We have also improved stability by using Pioneer's proprietary Hall element for switching the magnetic pole of the motor (switching circuit).
The cabinet is constructed by combining a large arm base made of aluminum die-cast with a cabinet consisting of double layers of 20 mm thick solid boards with large mass and moderate internal loss. This structure is an application of vibration isolation theory. By combining materials with different resonance components, both resonances are offset, improving the resistance to howling.
In addition, it is equipped with a large insulator that employs a double dump mechanism combining spring and rubber to reduce vibration from the floor.
The tone arm uses a mass-concentrated S-shaped pipe arm with the main weight close to the rotating shaft. This reduces the moment of inertia of the arm and provides a structure that is resistant to warping and eccentricity of records.
In addition, this arm is designed with anti-vibration measures for the weight shaft and lateral bar.
The head shell uses glass fiber reinforced resin with high rigidity and low mass.
Equipped with an auto-return mechanism that automatically returns the arm to the rest when the recording is finished.
In this mechanism, the power is turned off at the same time as the arm returns.
Equipped with a quick play mechanism, the turntable automatically starts rotating just by moving the arm on the record board.
MM type cartridge is equipped as standard.
