Commentary
A twin recorder re-double reverse deck equipped with a newly developed digital processing system.
It is equipped with a digital processing system that realizes digitization of signal processing inside the deck.
This system reads analog music signals with a playback head, converts them into digital signals, and performs the subsequent signal processing digitally.
In addition, 40 kHz wide-band playback is realized by installing the Legato link conversion that is used in CD players and DAT decks.
Equipped with digital noise reduction, the audio frequency band is divided into multiple bands by a digital filter, and hissing is separated and removed by increasing the level difference between the music signal and noise.
It is equipped with the digital XD FLAT System which corrects the frequency characteristic of the tape to be flat.
The computer checks the high-frequency recording characteristics of the tapes used and controls the bias appropriately.
Equipped with a digital ALCA (Auto Level Control with tape Analysis) that automatically adjusts the recording level according to the capacity of the tape and the volume of the source.
The peak recording level and initial recording level are set based on bias, sensitivity analysis and high-frequency high-level recording capability analysis, and the recording level is automatically set according to the input signal.
Equipped with a digital TDNS (Tape Duplication Noise Suppressor) that reduces noise during tape copying, reducing hissing on the playback side to achieve cleaner copying.
Also, the bias controller works in silent areas to reduce bias noise.
It is equipped with the digital FLEX (Frequency Level Expander) System, which detects whether recorded tapes are muffled and automatically amplifies the high-frequency level to improve sound quality.
Equipped with a digital sync function that enables direct digital input recording (fs = 44.1 khz only) through optical digital connections with digital devices such as CD players.
Recording starts only when a music signal is input, and a 4-second inter-song blank is automatically created.
Equipped with the last memory function, it can store FLAT System data, main switch positions, etc.
Equipped with a CD-DECK synchro function, it can be linked with a Pioneer CD player equipped with a CD-DECK synchro function and automatically linked operation is possible.
It is equipped with MIC input and parallel recording function that can record mixing with line input, and music search function that can start up to 15 songs in both forward and backward directions.
Wireless remote control is included.
