Commentary
Following the concept of the T-818, this stereo cassette deck is designed to ensure stable tape travel, minimize the signal path, and eliminate vibration and resonance.
Using direct construction, the shortest signal path and appropriate unit layout are achieved.
In the input block, the recording level volume and the recording balance volume are extended by a shaft, and the volume is placed close to the input terminal and the input of the recording amplifier to minimize the length of wire and improve the sound quality.
The amplifier block separates the recording and playback channels and the left and right channels, and arranges the signal flow straight, preventing adverse effects such as internal signal degradation and signal interference between each block, enabling pure transmission.
In order to prevent vibration from being transmitted to the cassette half, flutter components are generated by the vibration, and sound quality is degraded, we have adopted our own cassette stabilizers.
A special resin stabilizer is placed in the cassette holder, and a special rubber stabilizer is placed in the tape transport to hold the cassette half together. By this, the cassette half is firmly pressed from both sides and fixed, realizing excellent vibration control effect.
Uses a honeycomb chassis with a honeycomb shape that has high rigidity and excellent vibration damping characteristics.
In addition, we have adopted a large insulator and a die-cast head base to prevent vibration in each part.
Equipped with the Dolby HX PRO, which is useful for recording high-frequency sources such as digital sources.
The bias current is controlled in accordance with the music signal, greatly improving the high-frequency characteristics and dynamic range.
A dedicated power supply is installed separately from the transformer winding for each block of amplifier, control and FL indication. In particular, a bifilar winding is used for the amplifier system transformer winding to ensure high-purity recording and playback.
The amplifier uses a high-speed active servo regulator to quickly stabilize power supply voltage fluctuations caused by music signals.
The recording and reproducing heads use PCOCC (single crystal oxygen-free copper) windings to reduce distortion.
Equipped with a meter range switching function.
It is possible to switch between the normal wide range mode (-30dB to + 8 dB) and the expanded range mode in 1 dB steps (-3dB to + 12 dB). This allows the level around 0 dB to be adjusted severely.
It is equipped with a peak hold meter with switching of EverHold and Oatley set to hold sharp peaks of digital source accurately.
Equipped with a 2-mode counter consisting of a tape counter and a time counter that displays the elapsed time of recording and playback.
It is equipped with a music search function that can start up to 15 songs in both forward and backward directions, a bias adjustment function that can set the bias level suitable for each tape, an auto REC mute function that can create a 4-second silent section with one touch, and an auto tape selector that automatically changes the tape position.
Wireless remote control is included.
