Commentary

Auto-reverse tape deck that can be mounted in an EIA-standard rack.

It uses a Oatley berth playback mechanism. If you use No. 7 long tape at 19cm/s, it can be played back and forth for a long time of 90 minutes without changing the tape. It can also be played endlessly by using both a counter repeat mechanism and a Oatley berth mechanism.
It is also equipped with a direction button that can be reversed at any point during playback.

The capstan drive motor uses an FG (frequency-controlled) AC servo direct drive motor with less drift due to temperature and time. 7,600kg-cm²High rotational accuracy is achieved by a structure in which a precisely processed motor shaft directly connected to a large flywheel with excellent dynamic balance and inertia energy functions directly as a capstan.

Two 6-pole inner rotor induction motors are used to drive the reel table to stabilize tape travel.

The tape transport mechanism uses a new tension roller mechanism to suppress tape vibration and stabilize the back tension.

Uses a direct change operation button with a built-in tape protection system.
In combination with a timer, you can record your absence.

A 4-head system is used for the head part, and a hard permalloy head is used for the recording and reproducing head.
The head amplifier has a dynamic range of 30 range of 30 dB from the reference level, and has good start-up and high-resolution sound quality.

Bias / equalizer Equipped with 2 independent switchable tape selectors for each.

It is equipped with a pitch control function that can be adjusted by ± 6%, and the tape speed can be changed during playback.

The 4-track, 2-channel specification allows you to record and right recording modes, allowing for monaural recording on either the L or R track alone, and sound-on-sound recording in which sound is superimposed on sound by changing the input / output connections.

Microphone and line mixing is possible.

It is equipped with a monitor switch and you can try listening by switching the sound of the tape and the source.

Equipped with a vertical L/R symmetrical type level meter for easy level monitoring.

Output volume is mounted on the rear panel.
