Commentary
A stereo record player that uses a direct drive phono motor and an S-shaped tone arm.
A direct drive system using a brushless DC servo motor is adopted.
By directly driving the turntable without using a belt or idler, motor vibration caused by uneven rotation and high-speed motor rotation caused by the transmission system is eliminated.
An electronic circuit composed of transistors and diodes automatically controls the number of revolutions, ensuring accurate rotation without being affected by fluctuations in ambient temperature or power supply voltage.
33 For 1/3 and 45 rpm speed switching, a pure electronic type that can be performed only by constant switching of an electronic circuit is adopted.
In addition, while monitoring the strobe, fine adjustment is possible within ± 2% for each of 33 1/3 and 45 rpm independently.
An S-shaped tone arm has been adopted for the tone arm. The sensitivity of the arm bearings has been improved by careful examination of the pivot shape and material. In addition, Pioneer's original anti-skating mechanism combined with spring and cam is used to cancel the inside force. The numerical value of the needle pressure scale shows the anti-skating bias value as it is.
In addition, the head shell is a lightweight type with holes to reduce the effective mass and improve the tracing capability by taking into consideration the weight balance of the tone arm.
The cartridge uses the MM type cartridge PC 330 that reduces the effective mass of the vibration system and improves the separation in the high frequency range.
A low-capacity code is used for the output code to reduce loss in the ultra-high frequency range.
Since the motor is driven by changing the power supply to DC by the built-in constant voltage circuit, there is no need to replace the pulley with the power supply frequency of 50Hz/60Hz.
We have adopted a double-structured cabinet with a combination of metal base and rosewood finish wood.
In addition, the height adjustable insulator suppresses rattling and reduces external vibration.
