Commentary

Stereo pre-main amplifier with direct power supply.

The direct power supply system consists of a small-signal circuit board (equalizer amplifier, flat amplifier) and a large-signal circuit board (power amplifier) each equipped with a dedicated power supply. As a result, each power supply is directly connected to each circuit, so there is no cable routing, which greatly reduces impedance. In addition, interference between amplifier units can be prevented, resulting in improved sound quality.

In addition to the large transformer, the power supply section has two power supply capacitors on the left and right side in parallel to keep the impedance of the capacitors low.

The A-8800X uses a newly developed Super Linear RET (Ring Emitter Transistor).
This is a group transistor with excellent high-frequency switching characteristics developed in the power amplifier M-25 and also used in the マグニワイドアンプ A-0012. It greatly improves linearity at the effective output.
In addition, a newly developed T-shaped Skype fin is used for the radiator, increasing the heat radiation effect by more than 50%.

Equipped with MC position where MC cartridge can be directly connected, MM/MC can be selected by switching the switch on the front panel.

The Phono input uses cascode / current mirror connection and FET differential input circuit.
The flat amplifier section uses a newly developed CAN-type low-noise dual FET differential 2-stage circuit.

The flat amplifier section and power amplifier section have adopted a DC amplifier configuration in which capacitors are removed from the input circuit and NF circuit. This reduces the occurrence of phase shift in the middle and low range, degradation of damping, and transient intermodulation distortion caused by capacitors.

Soft-push switches that allow one touch operation are used for function switching and other switches. Rotary switches are used for tone control and cartridges that require continuous monitoring of changes in sound quality.

In order to maximize the performance of MM cartridge, load resistance and load capacity can be independently selected in 3 stages.
