Commentary
A record player developed as a player system that brings out the performance of its own cartridges.
A gyro-poise turntable is used for the turntable.
The Gyro-Poise system uses a magnetic suspension that uses magnetic repulsion to raise the turntable and eliminate bearings and springs.
The fixed magnet that makes up the gyropoise is suspended from the chassis by a spring. A tone arm is attached to one end of the T-shaped metal bar that supports the magnet. The two stage suspension system suppresses vibration from the outside.
Uni-Poise tone arm is used for the tone arm part.
This arm uses a single point support with theoretically the lowest friction, and the twist of the horizontal balance, which is a drawback of this method, is solved by using the entire outer circumference of the bearing as a pre-calculated balancer.
The FA145J uses XUV/4500Q, and the FA112J uses XV-15/1200E.
In both cases, the matching between the arm and cartridge is calculated at the design stage, and each cartridge is adjusted in the factory.
There are only three types of controls : 2-speed switching, motor ON/OFF, and cue control.
The needle pressure can be adjusted by the slide weight on the straight arm, and the anti-skating can be adjusted by the scale at the base of the bearing.
In order to reduce the load on the shaft point, the armrest that locks at the front of the arm is eliminated, and a structure that lightly adsorbs with a magnet while keeping the balance is adopted.
The dust cover is removable.
