Commentary
Low impedance type MC cartridge developed with non-resonance and non-vibration as the main concept.
All parts of the P-3 are machined with precision and DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treated on the surface in order to ensure accuracy and thoroughly eliminate vibration other than that of the power generation system.
DLC is a generic name for carbon thin films with high hardness and electrical insulation similar to diamond synthesized by vapor phase synthesis method using ions.
Duralumin machined material is also used for the base that establishes mechanical grounding. The surface hardness is increased to Hv = 3000 or more following diamond by DLC treatment, and the housing structure with high rigidity and excellent vibration damping characteristics is realized.
The cantilever is made of solid boron material that is light and highly rigid.
A power generation circuit using 6N oxygen-free copper wire is used for the power generation circuit, and a pure iron coil bobbin with high saturation flux density is used for the coil bobbin.
In addition, the P-3 realizes low impedance and high output by constructing a magnetic circuit using neodymium magnet. Alexandrite is highly valued as one of the Seven Jewels along with CAT'S EYE. It is said to be a jewel with a face of day and a face of night because the colors are different under artificial light.
It is a texture that expresses the sound quality target of P-3, and it is adopted as a compatibility because the body with DLC treatment on duralumin shaved material has the same deep luster.
