Commentary
An FM/AM tuner which pursued the ability improvement in actual operation corresponding to various condition changes.
Equipped with automatic / manual reception mode selection such as RF2-stage switching, IF selectivity switching, PLL reception mode switching, auto high blend, etc., it can respond to operating conditions and radio wave conditions.
By switching the response speed of the PLL to two stages, the generation of distortion due to non-linear tracking performance is suppressed.
The influence of external vibration such as sound pressure from speakers is greatest. For the VCO (local oscillator), as a mechanical vibration control measure, the local oscillator and the chassis are effectively fixed to suppress the occurrence of distortion.
In addition, two varicaps (receiving elements for broadcasting stations) are arranged in parallel to double the capacity value, so that even if the chassis vibrates due to strong music signals and the electrical circuit capacity fluctuates, the circuit effect is reduced to 1/2.
The detector uses a linear tracing detector.
The L. T. D uses a direct detection method for 10.7 MHz, and is a closed-loop type in which the signal 90 ° behind the IF signal is linearly traced to the IF signal for detection, thus improving S/N.
Intermodulation interference characteristics have been improved by adopting a two stage series buffer and RF two stage switching.
It is equipped with AM and FM random 20-station memory, preset scan, 5-station timer program, etc.
