Commentary
An AM/FM stereo tuner equipped with a servo lock system in both the FM and AM sections.
By installing servo locks in both FM and AM, tuning stability is improved.
When the tuning range is reached, the locked indicator lights up and the tuning knob is locked to the optimum tuning point as soon as you release the tuning knob.
This allows for quick and accurate tuning.
The IF stage employs WIDE and NARROW IF bandwidth switching for both FM and AM to balance selectivity and sound quality.
In reception areas with good radio wave conditions, the WIDE position allows reception with high sound quality. In areas with poor radio wave conditions, the NARROW position allows high selectivity and sharply cuts adjacent station interference.
The audio section uses the Super Servo system.
The DC amplifier configuration of FM and MPX and later is controlled by a servo amplifier to ensure excellent sound quality.
The FM section includes a 2D-MOS FET with a front-end compatible high sensitivity and elimination of intermodulation interference, a high-precision 4-series varicon, a first stage D-MOS FET, a high-slew rate double-base differential IC, an IF section of a wide-band linear phase filter, a wide-band detector, and a high-stability MPX, PLL, and IC equipped with an enhanced filter that simultaneously requires a low distortion rate at 100% NFB. We are pursuing low distortion in all circuits.
The AM section has a built-in 3-stage delayed type AGC that reduces distortion and beat disturbance in the strong input region. From the RF to the audio section, FM is an AM section IC assembled in a completely independent package.
In combination with servo lock and selectivity switching, AM tone quality is improved.
A deviation meter has been newly installed.
For example, in a wide-dynamic-range broadcast with 200% modulation, the input is + 12 dB larger than that with 50% modulation. The deviation meter displays the modulation level accurately with the meter circuit of the op-amp configuration and helps you set the recording level.
Automatic noise reduction is built in.
Equipped with two output terminals.
Built-in air check calibrator useful for recording.
