Commentary

A speaker system that follows the M6 released in 1975.
We have developed three design goals that we have pursued since the first generation : expansion of dynamic range and quality improvement, high power efficiency, and sound image localization.

The 31 cm woofer covers the middle and low range with almost one line.
The seat cone with multi-corrugation which is strong for large input is driven by a magnetic circuit using a large magnet and 76 φ long voice coil which is excellent in allowable input and driving force.
In addition, we have adopted carefully selected materials and shapes for the support system such as the edge, as well as the damper made of polyamide fiber material with excellent weather resistance and little change with time, realizing extremely smooth operation of corn paper.
Aluminum die-cast frame is used for the frame.

A composite type tweeter consisting of a 25 φ diameter, 20 μ m thick titanium diaphragm and carbon cone is mounted in the high range.
It has an optimum structure to concentrate magnetic flux, and is driven by a strong magnetic circuit that realizes a high magnetic flux density of 19000 gauss to achieve a large input.
In addition, magnetic fluid is injected into the gap of the magnetic circuit to greatly improve temperature characteristics and strain characteristics.
This unit is a wide-range type that extends well to the high frequency of 40000 Hz. Moreover, since an acoustic lens is added, the directivity characteristic in the direction of 30 degrees left and right is also improved.

Equipped with a front-operated 3-step mode selector.
