Commentary

This model has been revised and improved in all components from the M-3 unit to the network.

A 28 cm cone type unit is used for the low range.
This unit is responsible for most of the bandwidth that is occupied by the fundamental components of Ong-buy.
A seat cone with multi-corrugation that is strong for large input is driven by a magnetic circuit that employs a 50 φ mm long voice coil and a 120 φ x60 φ x20mm magnet.
Utilizing the know-how developed in the M6II, we have also improved resolution and orientation in the lower frequency range by adopting a reinforcing ring, etc.
In addition, it uses a long-stroke corrugation molding method and a damper with a special shape in which the wave Takabe gradually becomes larger (deeper) from the inner circumference to the outer circumference. This not only reduces the mechanical resistance and improves the damping characteristics, but also stresses when displaced are added to each corrugation, bringing about an appropriate restraining effect on all the guiding regions of the woofer and improving the linearity.
The types of urethane foam with different physical properties, an ester type for the upper layer and an ether type for the lower layer, are bonded together at a ratio of 3 : 7. The edge is molded into a special shape that gradually reduces the density from the cone paper side to the frame side. This enables linear tracking even when the cone moves violently at large amplitude and suppresses non-linear distortion.
The frame is an aluminum die-cast frame with a black finish that is approximately 20% heavier than the M-3, increasing rigidity and effectively suppressing baffle vibration.

A 4-cm compound type tweeter unit is used for the high range.
It uses a carbon radiator with high rigidity and light weight and large internal loss, and a diaphragm made of a radiator using titanium with high Young's modulus and light weight.
The edge is laminated with lightweight and high internal loss material, and the frame is filled with high internal loss plastic material.
The mounting position of this tweeter part can be exchanged with the bass reflex port.
