Commentary

This speaker system was developed from the starting point of audio reproduction, which is to make music more enjoyable.

A 31 cm cone type woofer, W-3503A is mounted in the low range.
The diaphragm uses a sheet cone with multi-corrugation, which is strong against large input, and is driven by a 78 φ mm large diameter long voice coil. The magnetic circuit uses a large magnet of 180 φ x95 φ x15mm that ensures a magnetic flux density of 10,000 gauss. The pole is equipped with a copper short ring with a drop that reduces harmonic distortion near fh due to current distortion, to prevent distortion in the magnetic circuit.
The edge uses a specially molded urethane foam edge that is molded so that the cone paper side is high density and thin, and the frame side is low density and thick, ensuring light weight and moderate internal loss.
The butterfly damper is made of a polyimide with excellent heat resistance, high strength, and excellent response characteristics against hysteresis has been put into practical use as a butterfly damper for the first time in Japan. Along with the edge of a new structure, a highly effective suspension system with little change over time has been realized. This polyimide plate has excellent damping characteristics and Qm (mechanical resistance) compared with other materials. In the M-6, it is also used in the Woofer voice coil to improve low-frequency characteristics.
The M-6 uses this woofer close to the full range so that the fundamental band is almost entirely covered by the woofer, which improves the sense of orientation and enhances the ability to reproduce sound images.

A 4-cm composite tweeter, TW-406A, is mounted in the high range.
High-frequency characteristics have been improved by a composite structure combining titanium diaphragm with high Young's modulus and lightweight, and carbon cone with light and high internal loss.

A mode selector is used for the level control.
Mode 1 is suitable for normal listening rooms, Mode 2 is suitable when you want to emphasize the high and low frequencies depending on the source, or when the sound characteristics of the room are dead, and Mode 3 is suitable for a live room where the middle and high frequencies are too high, and the sound is quiet in the middle and high range.

The enclosure uses a bass-reflex method. The baffle plate is made of 20 mm Yonematsu plywood and the side plate is made of 18 mm conifer chipboard. The bass-reflex port is equipped with slits to improve low-frequency braking.
The mounting positions of the bass reflex port and the tweeter section are the same size with the same dimensions. By reversing the mounting position of one channel, a symmetrical unit layout can be achieved.
The exterior is coated with polyurethane.
