Commentary
This speaker system uses a pure carbon vibrating plate and is compatible with a wide dynamic range of digital sources.
It uses a 26.5 cm cone type woofer for the low range and a 10 cm cone type midrange for the middle range. A pure car basin is used for the vibration plate.
This vibration plate has been realized by the development of our own special molding method, and the internal loss that suppresses the peculiar sound of the material is also secured sufficient value by using special epoxy resin as a binding material.
By this manufacturing method, it becomes possible to mold in more precise shape, and D-55 is finished uniformly with accuracy of 10 μ units.
A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is used for the high range.
The diaphragm is based on a soft dome made of chemical fiber with uniform fiber thickness, and the high-frequency resonance dispersion technology developed in Monitor500 is applied to it. Due to the nature of the material, the diaphragm has a natural tendency to sound. The vibration plate is coated with an appropriate amount of damping material to further flatten the frequency characteristics.
In addition, input resistance has been improved by the adoption of super heat resistant voice coil.
For the network, we have improved the sense of orientation and sound field by using a split woofer / mid-range tweeter network and a centralized one point earth system.
In addition to securing the plate thickness of the enclosure, effective reinforcement is provided inside to suppress plate vibration.
