Commentary
A speaker system equipped with a wide-band squaker based on the MID-4 concept that covers the fundamental sound band from 100 Hz to 2500 Hz.
We have clarified the mechanism of standing wave generation, which is a weak point of the tall boy speaker, and introduced a thorough anti-standing wave design including a newly developed acoustic wave regulator that suppresses the generation without using sound absorbing materials.
A 27 cm pure cross carbon unit is used for the low range.
The crossover frequency is set at 100 Hz to operate in the superbus band and suppress the influence of standing waves.
The mid-range unit uses a 16 cm pure cross carbon cone unit covering 100 Hz to 2500 Hz in order to reproduce human voice naturally.
A single unit covers the vocals' fundamental sound and formant frequency to improve the reality of the sound.
A 2.5 cm dome type unit with plasma carbonite oval diaphragm is adopted for the high frequency range.
