Commentary

Based on the Integra A-917R, the constant current bias technology has been further advanced to improve the expressive power of music.

It is equipped with a constant current bias amplifier. In order to improve the accuracy of the differential amplifier in the voltage amplification stage, an ultra-high-precision constant current circuit is adopted as the bias circuit used as the operation reference, and the power supply voltage fluctuation suppression ratio (SVRR) is further increased. This constant current circuit consists of a circuit configuration in which the operation reference of a high-precision feedback constant current circuit is stabilized by another constant current circuit. In addition, this constant current circuit is also adopted for the bias circuit of the first stage cascode, the second stage cascode, and the second stage constant current load, to realize highly stable voltage amplification.
In addition, the power supply for the voltage amplifier is equipped with a low-impedance filter circuit independently on the left and right sides, greatly reducing power supply voltage fluctuations caused by load current at high output and interference caused by power supply fluctuations on the left and right sides.

The power supply uses a blue condenser, which was developed after three years of trial manufacture and trial listening.
In addition, the bridge diode is 2.5 times larger in capacity than the conventional one, greatly reducing power supply loss from the transformer to the Chemi-Con.
The transformer is equipped with a LASER transformer that reduces the leakage flux to one tenth of that of the conventional EI core transformer.

The volume employs a newly developed volume that reduces noise generation by preventing vibration of the resistor and slider with a click mechanism and a robust structure of aluminum die-cast frame.

The flat damping technology developed in the QUEST series is introduced to achieve a flat output impedance within the audible band.
This eliminates the degradation of the damping factor in the high-frequency range and realizes a drive that does not depend on the type or characteristics of the speaker.

The driver transistor has an element with excellent linearity up to a large current region to improve drive performance.
In addition, the final stage is equipped with a unique linear switching circuit to suppress the generation of 0 cross distortion of class AB amplifier.

An independent 3 box chassis structure is adopted in which the power supply part, main amplifier part and volume & tone control part are divided.
The heat sink of the main amplifier is independent on the left and right based on the twin mono concept.

Uses very thick AC cord with polarity display.

As for the color variation of the body, there was a black model in addition to the gold model.
Also, there was a side wood panel as an option sold separately.
