Commentary
RS series pre-main amplifier using super turbo system originally developed by Onkyo.
In the Super Turbo system, the dynamic dynamic range is expanded by more than 20 dB by the function of the delta turbo circuit and turbo filter. In addition, noise components that enter the AC line from outside the amplifier are cut off, and the effect of the polarity of the AC power plug on sound quality is also reduced.
In order to reduce interference between the left and right channels, a super servo integral system is adopted.
An electromotive force is induced in the speaker by the sound pressure emitted from the speaker on the reverse channel. This force flows into the output stage of the amplifier and causes time difference distortion, which is reduced by a special linearity correction circuit.
The servo circuit applied to both poles of the output side of the amplifier suppresses noise to less than -40dB, which causes distortion due to harmful ultra-low frequency components and total impedance of the power supply.
The MC straight equalizer and power amplifier are all part of the simple design. The equalizer amplifier is a high-gain design for MC cartridges.
The Direct Tone Control method is used for tone control.
Since the tone amplifier, which had many problems in sound quality, is omitted and the tone is changed by using the loudness circuit related to volume control, the circuit configuration can be made only with passive elements which have no problem in sound quality.
Onkyo has adopted a linear switching system originally developed by Onkyo. By using a special linearity correction circuit, the crossover characteristics equal to those of class A can be obtained with high efficiency class B amplification.
The chassis uses non-magnetic parts that do not affect sound quality.
