Commentary

This pre-main amplifier achieves clear sound quality by improving linearity at low output, which was a weak point of conventional high power amplifiers, and removing higher harmonic components included in distortion.

By setting the current of the power transistor to a large value of 300 mA when there is no signal, the linearity at small outputs from 0W to 1.5W is improved. At medium outputs or higher power, a total of eight transistors are built in to compensate for linearity and reduce distortion, which is said to be easily audible.
This combines the power of a large output amplifier with the delicate sound quality of a small output.

It has a unique design with an input terminal mounted on the top panel.
