AV surround amplifier with improved operability and sound quality by AI full auto program system and DSP.

Equipped with an AI full auto program system to eliminate complicated level setting.
Nine surround modes that are most suitable for each AV playback are stored in the device in advance. By simply pressing a key called a multi-preset key, you can turn on the device and automatically recall the settings for the input selector, volume, sound mode, surround content, and tone control.
There are five multi-preset keys in total. You can press the key once for settings 1 to 5, and press the key twice for settings 6 to 10.
You can also store (overwrite) the surround level that you usually use in the preset keys.

The attached remote controller is equipped with a cursor commander.
The A-V801PRO can be operated freely using the five keys of the cursor commander while watching the on-screen display on the monitor screen. By using this system, most operations of the A-V 400 PRO can be performed.

Equipped with DSP (Digital Signal Processing), in addition to the normal "Dolby Pro Logic Mode", 9 types of surround mode are installed : theater mode 1/2, hall mode 1/2/3, live concert mode, jazz club mode, and disco mode.

The audio, video, and microcomputer sections are mounted on separate printed circuit boards for each block. In addition, ground and power lines for these sections are also separated and independent so that mutual interference of each circuit is suppressed.
In addition, the power supply to the digital circuits such as the microcomputer and DSP circuits and the class d to the video circuit are provided with a 2-transformer power supply system that uses a transformer with a separate power supply independent of the main transformer to prevent high-frequency noise from entering the audio circuit.

Five types of Dolby Pro Logic are installed, enabling effective sound field reproduction for various speaker settings.
It is also equipped with Auto Input Balance, which automatically compensates for input balance errors during playback of Dolby Pro Logic. This function automatically compensates for balance errors that occur with input signals from the left and right channels during playback of AV software. You can obtain the best channel separation without worrying about the channel balance of each software.

The front, center, and rear channels are equipped with independent tone controls to eliminate unnatural sounds caused by differences in the tone of the front, center, and rear speakers.
Each tone control can be set for each of the three bands Bass, Mid, and Treble, and the level adjusted by the tone control is indicated by an indicator on the display.

With the adoption of DSP, among the nine surround modes except for Dolby mode and Theater mode, more detailed sound field reproduction is possible by setting the sound field parameter level in other surround modes.

It is equipped with three kinds of test tone functions which are useful for adjusting the level of each speaker and functions such as Rec Standby Mode.

The power amplifier section consists of five discrete amplifiers.
