Commentary

This pre-main amplifier was completed by focusing on the ideal amplifier and basic performance, and by putting all NEC's technologies into it.

In addition to five stage independent power supply units, a newly developed reserved power supply unit is installed in the power supply unit.
In the case of conventional capacitor input type power supply, since the current is discontinuous pulse flow by repetition of 100 Hz to 120 Hz, there is a time when the current does not flow, and there is a disadvantage that the power supply voltage drops even if a large output is obtained when the capacitor is discharged.
To overcome this drawback, a reserve power supply was developed. When the charging current is interrupted, a second power supply is activated to bring the charging current closer to a continuous uniform flow.
This reduces the peak value of the charging current, reduces the impedance of the power supply, and increases the current supply capacity. The power supply ripple is also reduced by approximately 8 dB, enabling low-frequency reproduction without distortion even at high output.

Equipped with a high-gain MC head amplifier.
It is high positive with 3 para push connection of low noise and high gain FET, and it corresponds to the size of the output depending on the type of cartridge between low position and high position equipment.

It is equipped with an operation switch that can be used to separate the preamplifier and power amplifier.
When the switch is set to "SEPARATED", the input of the power amplifier section and the output of the preamplifier section are separated, so that they can be used independently.
The input level of the power amplifier section is adjustable independently on the left and right.

Equipped with a subsonic filter.

Three stage (-10, -20 and -30dB) attenuators are provided for precise volume control.

Equipped with a power output level control that can be used as an output volume when a balance control or power amplifier is used independently.

Equipped with a REC selector.
