Commentary

A compact FM/AM tuner designed primarily to satisfy both audio equipment and communication equipment characteristics.

It uses twin color tuning, and the color of the illumination of the whole dial scale changes from white to green when tuning is achieved.

In the FM front-end section, a dual-gate MOS FET with a small NF is used in the high-frequency amplification stage to increase the sensitivity. In addition, the air-core coil and frequency number line type varicon improve the ability to eliminate various types of interference.
In addition, an air-core coil is used for the local oscillator, and the variable capacitor for local oscillation has a wide gap to maintain high frequency stability.

The FM and IF stages are composed of four linear phase ceramic filters with excellent phase characteristics and three differential amplifier stages, which provide a stable limiter and excellent phase characteristics.

A wide-band クォードラチュア detection circuit is adopted for the detection circuit, enabling low distortion rate reception.
In addition, the MPX circuit employs a PLL-type IF with excellent temperature characteristics, which provides excellent separation and distortion characteristics over a wide bandwidth.

The AM receiving circuit has an all-IC circuit configuration.
