DT-4700S
Commentary

A stereo cassette deck equipped with a number of new mechanisms focusing on recording functions.

A DC servo motor is used as the drive motor.
The built-in tacho-generator constantly controls the rotational speed at a constant speed. This makes it possible to control uneven tape speed even against load fluctuations that cause wow and flutter, thereby enabling stable tape travel.

Equipped with a Record Master Volume that can adjust the recorded signal level from all input jacks without moving the Line or Mic input control knobs.

An ultra low noise PNP epitaxial silicon transistor developed by Diatone is used in the first stage of the reproduction equalizer amplifier, and a low noise PNP transistor is used in the first stage of the Line input amplifier.

By using a carefully selected ferrite head, the characteristics are improved.

Equipped with a meter indicating the remaining amount of tape.
This meter detects the rotation speed of the supply side reel rest first, converts it to voltage, and causes the meter to swing. Therefore, the change in the rotation cycle of the supply side reel rest appears as a change in the meter oscillation.
In addition, this tape level indication meter is equipped with a reference voltage generator using a zener diode and a temperature guarantee circuit, so that it can respond to fluctuations in power supply voltage and ambient temperature, enabling accurate indication.

Mixing recording is possible.

Equipped with a peak level indicator that lights up when the distortion level (+ 5 Vu) is reached.

Equipped with a memory rewind mechanism. Before recording or playback, turn on the memory switch, set the tape counter to 000, and press the REW button to automatically stop the recording when it has been rewound to 999.

Equipped with L/mono My Kujac mechanism. When a microphone plug is inserted into Lch of My Kujac, both channels are automatically recorded in mono.

By connecting to the separately sold audio timer, you can record your absence or play the alarm clock.

The cassette case is equipped with a tape illumination lamp.

Equipped with an oil dump type soft eject mechanism.

Equipped with Dolby circuit.

There were 2 types, DT-4700 with a rack-mount carrying handle and DT-4700S without a carrying handle.
