Commentary
A woofer system designed for the D-80 series Hi-Fi system that employs an 80 cm ultra-large unit.
The unit is equipped with an 80 cm cone shaped woofer using Diatone traditional honeycomb construction cone.
In order to further enhance the performance of the honeycomb construction cone in this unit, the aramid fiber with high specific elastic modulus and moderate internal loss is used for the skin material, and the aramid honeycomb diaphragm is used.
In addition, the adoption of a highly heat-resistant voice coil and a powerful magnetic circuit enables high-resolution, high-bass playback with a fast transient response.
It is designed with high efficiency of 100dB/m in order to drive sufficiently even at the output of the audio amplifier.
The enclosure uses a bass reflex system.
In addition, the exterior is finished with wood grain for calmness.
