Commentary

A speaker system based on the DS-77EX and improved for AV applications.

In order to reduce magnetic flux leakage, which adversely affects cathode ray tubes, etc., a double magnet structure with a canceling magnet added to the magnetic circuit is designed to prevent magnetic leakage.
In addition, with the double magnet structure, the energy of the magnetic circuit is increased by increasing the magnetic flux density, and the low-frequency range is extended. Moreover, the attenuation characteristics are also improved, and a playback sound with a good start is realized.

A 32 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
Honeycomb / cone diaphragm using C. G. (carbon / graphite) skin is used for diaphragm.
The frame structure is an aluminum die-cast R. S. frame with 8 legs of different shapes alternately adopted, and resonance mode is dispersed.

The mid-range is equipped with a 10 cm cone type squaker.
Carbon fiber, which is four times stronger than glass fiber, is carefully woven into a carbon cloth cone to create a cross-shaped diaphragm. This diaphragm is lightweight, highly rigid, and has a certain degree of internal loss. This diaphragm realizes high-speed playback over a wide band with less natural sound. In addition, S. R. Titanium is used for the center diaphragm to smooth the connection with the high frequency band.
The frame structure uses R. S. frame as well as woofer.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
Diatone's unique D. U. D structure is used for the diaphragm structure. By integrating the diaphragm and voice coil bobbin, it realizes a wide response band, high-speed response to pulsed input, and excellent input resistance. The diaphragm material is newly developed S. R. Titanium with 40% higher specific elastic modulus.
In addition, the frame has a D. M. structure in which the magnetic circuit plate is fixed directly to the enclosure to suppress unnecessary resonance.

The DS-77EXV is equipped with an AV equalizer that allows you to select three sound quality positions according to the source and software.

The network section employs a method in which wiring materials are caulked and bonded with a sleeve to minimize the use of solder. In addition, the Woofer element, which generates a large magnetic flux, is separated into two sections to eliminate intermodulation distortion.
Oxygen-free copper wire is used for the cable, and capacitors and resistors are selected based on measurements and listening tests.

A 4-side round baffle with four sides of the front baffle in a round shape has been adopted to reduce diffraction phenomenon.
In addition, the enclosure is a highly rigid distributed resonance type utilizing modal analysis, etc., and by dispersing resonance modes, box ringing is prevented.

If you want to enjoy pure audio, install the left and right systems 1.5m to 2.5m away from each other with the tweeter and squaker inside. If you want to enjoy it as an AV system, it is recommended to install the tweeter and squaker outside so that you can enjoy a more natural sound field.
