Commentary

A bookshelf type speaker system that uses carbon, graphite and honeycomb diaphragm.

A 27 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The C. G. honeycomb cone diaphragm with high specific elastic modulus, low distortion, low resonance, and excellent high-speed response has been realized by using the honeycomb construction cone for the diaphragm structure and the C. G. (carbon graphite) composite developed by Diatone for the diaphragm skin to make the best use of its characteristics.
The R. S. frame has been adopted for the frame structure, and the vibration mode generated in the vibration system is alternately dispersed by 8 aluminum die-cast frames with different shapes to maximize the characteristics of the diaphragm.

The mid-range is equipped with a 10 cm cone type squaker.
The diaphragm is made of carbon cloth with high rigidity and specific elastic modulus, and the center cap is made of S. R. titanium, which is the same as the tweeter, to realize a wide band.
The frame structure of frame structure of Skoker uses the same R. S. frame as Woofer.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm has a Diatone unique D. U. D structure that integrates the diaphragm and voice coil bobbin to realize high-speed playback, wider bandwidth, and improved power linearity. In addition, the diaphragm is made of S. R. Titanium, whose specific elastic modulus has been improved by approximately 40% or more by applying a special surface hardening treatment to the titanium diaphragm. In the case of S. R. Titanium, the diaphragm structure is made into a three layer structure with different physical properties by forming a film to suppress the noise that tends to occur in metal diaphragm.
In addition, in the tweeter unit, the porcelain circuit and frame are integrated, and the D. M. (direct mount) system is adopted to increase the rigidity of the unit, which increases the rigidity and suppresses vibration.

The network circuit has been thoroughly reviewed.
In the DS-66EX, the wires are caulked and crimped with a sleeve to eliminate solder. In addition, by adopting a two part structure, the woofer elements, which generate a large magnetic flux, are independent. In addition, only oxygen-free copper wires are used for wire, and capacitors and resistors are selected by repeated measurement and viewing.
The attenuator is also eliminated to prevent degradation of sound quality at the switch contacts.

The front baffle of the enclosure is a adopted for the front baffle of the enclosure, and the sound quality degradation due to the diffraction effect is suppressed by making four sides of the baffle plate round.

There was a speaker stand sold separately.
This stand can be set at an angle of elevation, and can also be set normally by reversing up and down.
