Commentary

A bookshelf type speaker system that is compact but pursues excellent localization and sound quality.

By lowering the "fo" (lowest resonance frequency) of the system to 80 Hz, we aim to enhance the low-frequency range and achieve a well-balanced playback sound. In addition, by devising the installation method as shown in the figure (below), it is possible to achieve superior low-frequency playback.

A 10 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The edge of this unit is made of butyl rubber with little distortion even for large amplitude. By taking a large vibration system stroke, it is able to cope with large input and heavy low sound. In addition, by adopting a low distortion magnetic circuit, transparency of sound image is improved.

A 2.3 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) is used for the diaphragm to improve the sound quality by taking advantage of the advantages of hard and soft domes.

The enclosure uses an acoustic air suspension system and is made of aluminum die-cast material to increase weight and reduce the impact of vibration.

There are 2 color variations. The punching metal of DS-5BC is finished in gungley color.
