Commentary

The History Series 2-way speaker system uses a liquid crystal polymer diaphragm.

A new material, L. C. P. (Liquid Crystal Polymer), is used for both low-frequency and high-frequency vibration plates, making it a 2-way constant velocity.
L. C. P. has a self-reinforcing effect in which when a certain stimulus is given, the polymers orient together and increase rigidity. It also has inelasticity comparable to metals. In addition, since it is a high polymer material, it also has a large internal loss close to ideal.
In order to use this excellent material as a diaphragm, Diatone uses an injection molding method in which polymer is injected at high speed for molding. Rigidity is increased due to uniform orientation of polymer, and specific elastic modulus is also improved due to ultra-thin molding.

A 18 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit reduces the frame width and eliminates bolts in order to reduce unnecessary radiation from the frame.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The tweeter unit uses Diatone's unique D. U. D structure that integrates the diaphragm and voice coil to achieve high speed, while the magnetic circuit has a D. M. structure that reduces unnecessary vibration to achieve high rigidity.
The frame area has been reduced and bolts have been eliminated to reduce unnecessary radiation.

Each unit has an anti-magnetic design using cancel magnet.

A oxygen-free copper is used for the coil of the network section, and a crimping wiring method that does not use any solder is used for connection method to improve transmission purity.

The front baffle of the enclosure uses a spruce lumber core that has excellent attenuation characteristics and beautiful sound and is also used in pianos. The distributed resonance type increases rigidity and the four sided round baffle, which rounds all four sides of the baffle, reduces unwanted radiation due to the diffraction effect of sound.

There was a speaker stand for the History Series separately sold.
This stand is designed so that the sound field spreads naturally. It is also equipped with an adjuster to keep the best setting with the floor.
