DIATONE DS-38B

Commentary
This is a bookshelf-type speaker system developed with the aim of achieving a grand playback sound that exceeds that of a bookshelf.
The DS-38B is designed to be highly efficient, and its input resistance is also greatly improved.
As a result, the maximum output sound pressure level can be increased and playback over a wide dynamic range is possible.
A 30 cm cone woofer is installed in the low range, a 12 cm cone squaker in the middle range, and a 2.3 cm dome tweeter in the high range. All of these units have been newly developed. They use materials for vibration components suitable for each band, a powerful magnetic circuit, and a die-cast frame to achieve high expressiveness and scale.
Large high-performance coils are used in the network section to reduce network distortion.
The cabinet structure adopts a distributed resonance type.
In this structure, the vibration pattern of the cabinet is physically analyzed to avoid the concentration of resonance modes, reinforcing bars are distributed unevenly, and the joints are firmly connected by sophisticated woodworking techniques. This reduces the vibration of the cabinet and suppresses the box ringing phenomenon in which the cabinet resonates strongly in a specific band.
