Commentary
A 3-way speaker system using a specially developed unit.
It has a 25 cm cone woofer for the low range, a 5 cm cone tweeter for the high range, and a 1.6 cm dome super tweeter for the ultra high range.
These units were newly developed for the DS 261. Die-cast frames are used for the frame of each unit to eliminate natural vibration of the frame itself.
In addition, the volume of the back chamber of the tweeter section is increased to reduce the reverberation, and the reproduced sound with good damping is obtained.
It is equipped with 3-position switching type level control for high frequency.
The enclosure uses an acoustic air suspension system, in which a large amount of sound absorbing material is packed inside the enclosure, enabling rich bass reproduction in a small system.
We have also adopted a V-shaped reinforcing bar developed by Diatone and reduced the resonance of the baffle plate by assembling it with a strong joint structure.
