Commentary

This 2-way speaker system has been designed to be true to the basics and has achieved more natural sound quality.

The DS-22BR achieves high efficiency as a bookshelf type and can be driven by a small output amplifier.

A 20 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit was developed based on the woofer of the 2S 208 monitor speaker. The cone forms a kind of mechanical filter to give ideal attenuation characteristics and eliminate phase distortion near the crossover.
In addition, by adopting a design that matches the cabinet, low-frequency playback with effective damping is realized.

A 5 cm cone type tweeter is installed in the high range.

The front baffle has a brilliant control that can be adjusted in 3 steps.

The enclosure uses a bass reflex system and an edge-less cabinet that eliminates the edge around the baffle plate to improve directional characteristics.

There were 2 kinds of variations, DS-22BR with walnut finish and white net, and DS-22BR-W with blue net on Shiraki.
