Commentary

This new concept speaker system was developed by returning to the starting point of speaker production and reviewing the unit structure itself.

A 27 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
The honeycomb cone is used for the diaphragm. It is a honeycomb-curved cone with high tensile polyamide fiber as skin material. Until now, it was difficult to form the honeycomb diaphragm into a cone shape, but it is molded into the curved cone with the technology of Diatone. By this, the high-frequency reproduction frequency can be set wider than the conventional straight cone, and the high-frequency resonance peak is suppressed lower.
The DMM (Direct Magnet Circuit Mount) system is adopted for the frame part. The whole unit including the magnetic circuit is wrapped in a strong aluminum die-cast frame so that it is pushed from the rear, and it is strongly supported by the cabinet. This suppresses the vibration of the magnetic circuit itself caused by the input signal and realizes high resolution.

The diaphragm uses a DUD boron dome. The boron used in the DS-1000 has improved the boron diffusion growth more strongly than the conventional one, and the boronization of the titanium matrix is further promoted by the crystal growth boron. This, combined with the rigidity of boron, suppresses the natural sound of titanium metal.
In addition, a Direct Mount (DM) system has been adopted for the frame part. By using a monocoque structure that integrates the magnetic circuit plate and the mounting frame that supports the unit itself, the rigidity is increased, vibration is suppressed, input energy is transmitted to the diaphragm without loss, and high-speed playback sound is realized. In addition, a damping sheet is attached to prevent reflection from the frame around the diaphragm to improve the S / N ratio of playback sound.

A 2.3 cm dome-shaped tweeter is installed in the high range.
A DUD boron dome is used for the diaphragm as in the mid-range. The DS-1000 tweeter diaphragm has a shorter bobbin section to improve the high-speed response, and realizes better high-sound reproduction.

Low distortion network circuit is adopted for the network part.
By eliminating the attenuator circuit, electrical and mechanical factors such as natural resonance are eliminated and the S / N ratio of reproduced sound is improved.

The enclosure is hermetically sealed.
