Commentary

A direct drive player with separate power transformer structure.

The power transformer in which the power transformer is separated from the main body, S/N is improved by eliminating the influence of the power transformer.
This outer power trans configuration reduces the effect of leakage flux to cartridges with poor shielding and low-power cartridges, resulting in clearer playback sound.
Two AC outlets are arranged in this power supply.

A 20 pole, 60 slot brushless DC servo motor has been adopted for the motor part to obtain excellent characteristics.
The turntable has an inertial mass of 330 kg ・ cm.²It uses an aluminum die-cast large turntable. The density is equalized by the original casting method, and the deviation at 900 revolutions by the balancing machine is kept within 2g. In addition, 315g and 1 cm for rubber sheet.²High-density sheet of about 1.2g per sheet is used to prevent resonance.

The tone arm adopts a universal type static balance type arm that uses the rotating part of MA-202 as it is.
High precision pivot and original angular type bearings are combined for the vertical bearings of the rotating part, and radial type bearings are used for the upper and lower points of the water plain bearing part to achieve an initial horizontal and vertical sensitivity of 10 mg or less.

The main weight for needle pressure adjustment is a one turn direct reading type between 0 and 3g. By adjusting the horizontal balance of the arm and the needle pressure indicator to 0, the proper needle pressure of the used cartridge can be obtained correctly.
A sub-weight (sold separately) can be attached to the rear.

In order to check the horizontal balance of the arm depending on the height of the cartridge in use, it is equipped with a helicoidal arm height adjustment mechanism. This adjustment mechanism allows fine adjustment within 6 mm.
In addition, the cartridge is equipped with a variable inside for scan cellar that can handle the needle pressure. With the unique variable structure that can handle the needle pressure, the cancellation amount changes relative to the outer and inner surfaces of the record, so the imbalance of the needle pressure caused by the inside force can be eliminated and the tracing capacity of the cartridge is improved.

The arm lifter has an oil dump-type delay operation to smooth the contact and release between the record surface and needle tip.

The head shell uses H-202, an aluminum die cast head shell, and the connector pin is gold-plated to prevent contact failure. In addition, the head lock connector part at the tip of the arm is equipped with a head shell inclination adjusting screw to enable vertical adjustment.

The rotational speed is changed electronically with a micro switch, and fine adjustment can be performed within ± 6% at each speed.

The cabinet adopts a double structure of die-cast frame and solid base, and measures against howling are taken.
In addition, by installing large absorbers on the legs, the effect of vibration is reduced. These absorbers are height adjustable.

Equipped with a mirror-type strobe with a precision strobe placed behind the turntable.

The output code is a low-capacitance type of 50pF/m, which reduces the influence on the high-frequency characteristics and supports 4-channel playback.
