BL-101
Commentary

This is an armless player that pursues higher perfection by introducing various technologies such as the direct coupling method which gained a reputation in RX 5000 and BL 111.

The vibration mode is thoroughly analyzed by the Structural Dynamic Analyzer, and Micro's unique direct coupling method is adopted. In this method, the shaft assembly of the turntable and the arm mount are completely integrated with the connecting frame, the vibration circulation system is in phase, and the turntable and the arm do not cause any phase shift due to vibration, enabling more accurate tracing.
In addition, this integrated structure makes the vibration circulation system as short as possible and increases the rigidity, minimizing the conversion loss when the cartridge converts the vibration energy from the sound groove into an electric signal.

The turntable section uses special aluminum for the main turntable (305 mm diameter) and zinc for the sub turntable (180 mm diameter), and adopts a double turntable system in which the surfaces are firmly joined by three screws.
The joint surface has a flat surface by high-precision polishing which Micro boasts. This double structure dumps the main turntable's squeal and improves the playback sound by adding weight to the sub-turntable and increasing the moment of inertia.

In addition to the conventional tapered connection method, a more reliable press-fit method has been adopted for connecting the sub-turntable and turntable shaft to clarify the fulcrum point.

The bearing portion of the turntable shaft is 12 mm longer in the radial direction than that of BL-91 to eliminate play caused by clearance with the bearing.

The 16 mm diameter high rigidity shaft (stainless steel copper) is housed in a large bearing assembly and is an oil bath system filled with special synthetic oil.

A strobe light is mounted on the back of the outer circumference of the main turntable and can be checked from the front by a reflecting mirror.

Uses an insulator that takes external vibration and howling into consideration.

The cabinet has a urethane finish with a natural wood tack plate finish.
In addition, the dust cover is laminated with acrylic resin and adopts V-cut structure.

One A-1200 series is attached to the arm mount base.
