Commentary

Based on the technology and data accumulated in the M-1007 series, the MM type cartridge was developed as a stereo cartridge of the micro M-2000 series.

Diamond needle is used for M-2000/5, and ellipse needle is used for M-2000/e.

In order to demonstrate the excellent characteristics of the light alloy pipe type cantilever, we try to minimize the total mass by fitting it into a micro size cylindrical ferrite magnet with a very natural shape, avoiding extreme bending and deformation.
As a result, the magnet and cantilever are almost integrated, making it possible to obtain a higher resonance point in the high-frequency range, improving the frequency characteristics and channel separation in the high-frequency range.

The damper uses a special rubber developed through numerous trial measurements and hearing tests in order to select the material of the damper. As a result, in addition to the miniaturization of the effective mass, compliance is improved, high-frequency nobi is achieved, and distortion is reduced.

The magnetic circuit uses a well-balanced 4-pole 4-coil system.
This method can effectively use the flux without loss, making it possible to extract an output voltage of 5 mV despite the small magnet.
In addition, S/N has been improved by fully shielding with super permalloy with less distortion.

The natural diamond tip made in Switzerland is mounted with a strict check for each piece to improve the quality.

The needle replacement is a plug-in method with a mold tip, and the vibration system can be easily replaced as it is.

Since the screw holes conform to JIS and EIA standards, it can be used as it is for tone arms conforming to the standards.

The needle pressure is designed so that around 1g is the proper needle pressure.
