Commentary
An integrated amplifier developed as an amplifier with the same quality as a separate amplifier equipped with three elements of G. T. L (glass panel, output transformer, panel light).
Equipped with an output transformer, it provides unchanging high power for 8 Ω, 4 Ω, and 2 Ω loads, and can stably supply peak output current of 53A or more while extremely low distortion rate to frequencies far beyond the audible band.
The transformer also protects the speaker by preventing DC current from flowing out in the event of an emergency.
The signal system from the phono input to the final stage is basically the same as that of the Macintosh separate amplifier. In order to add the advantage of the integrated type, the signal path is shortened thoroughly, and internal interference and distortion are carefully eliminated.
In addition to the strict electromagnetic shielding of the power transformer, the layout of the printed board and cable has been thoroughly examined. The signal switches of the logic control are all glass-sealed reed relays.
The tone control circuit is completely bypassed in the flat position.
The infrared remote controller enables you to perform all major operations at hand.
The position of the master volume is digitally indicated by the LED indicator in the center of the panel, the LISTEN and RECORD signals can be selected independently, and the optional video and speaker selectors can be controlled.
It is equipped with a protection circuit unique to Macintosh which reaches Route 6 such as Power Guard and Centrino monitor.
Equipped with a power meter that displays the output power of voltage x current at a response speed that is approximately 10 times faster than that of a commercial VU meter.
A 6 mm core wire diameter cable can be directly connected to the speaker output terminal.
The output terminal of the preamp section and the input terminal of the power amplifier section are mounted and can be used separately.
Equipped with Macintosh's own continuous loudness control, it is possible to correct the loudness regardless of the volume position.
